Apple will launch its annual fall product next Wednesday. In some recent year, Apple has used September to organize its event. It also comes with something new during the event. For this year’s event many critics expect that with the new Apple gadgets some older tech will finally die off. And everybody would be surprised of that.

Kaufman Brothers analyst Shaw Wu told to Fortune that he has heard from sources inside Apple’s supply chain that the next iPod Nano may dump the clickwheel interface. It should be noted that the clickwheel technology hasn’t changed since 2005. So it may not be used now because much of the users like to use touchscreen devices.

Apple has recently tried to have touchscreens and multitouch functionality in all its products. This time also you can have multitouch functionality in the Magic mouse and Magic Trackpad similar to the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

It is not only the clickwheel that has not changed since 2005. There are some other products of Apple as well that would be regarded as outdated such as iPod Classic. However it is still used very many users because it has many good characteristics like its storage capacity.

Apple TV also comes among devices ignored by Apple for a long time. But this time Apple has announced that it will strengthen Apple TV also known as iTV
